Religious diversity poses a challenge to the view that exclusive religious beliefs can be justified and warranted. Equally upright and thoughtful people who appear to possess similarly well-grounded and coherent systems of belief, come up with irreconcilable religious views. The content of religious beliefs also seems unduly dependent upon culture, and no one religion has been shown to be more transformative than the others.

The most savage controversies are those about matters as to which there is no good evidence either way.
Bertrand Russell

Out of all the possibilities the one you came across from the accident of birth or time & geography is the right one? It seems religion like its human source evolves. Christianity in 1400 in Europe does not look like Christianity in America in 2010. It is not universal or timeless...it evolves to stay alive like its host. Adapts to culture...this is ultimate truth? This is evolution and adaptation of the religion.

And when a natural explanation will suffice why should one leap to the supernatural unless you are invested in a specific ideology?
